Mission & Vision

I am a nurse, educator, health coach, yoga instructor and founder of Your Elements of Balance & Pure Healthy Solutions. I am passionate about teaching and mentoring and am here as your guide at the side to help you discover that food changes everything!  You may have experimented with a variety of foods, non-foods, powders, pills, shakes, and diets but haven't found the right fit. As your health coach, I am your personal advocate for living an energized and vibrant life. I help my clients discover healthy ways to meet their nutritional needs and that fits their lifestyle. It is possible to have energy, feel great, release toxins and excess weight - while enjoying meals that are delicious, nourishing and nutritious!

My mission is to provide a safe environment for people to learn, be challenged and become independent thinkers when it comes to nutrition and lifestyle. Our modern lives have many unhealthy influences and most people need support and guidance in order to establish healthy patterns leading to vitality. There are many programs available but few provide personalized service. My vision is to help as many people as possible to have the information they need to live life to fullest with health and vitality!

What is a Health Coach?
A health coach is a mentor and a teacher who helps people uncover the hidden ways diet and lifestyle contributes to well-being. Coaches meet with clients in-person, online, or over the phone. Coaching sessions use active listening and individualized attention to help you ditch the uncertainty and contradictions about what to eat and discover exactly what your body needs to elevate your energy and discover vitality! 

What I do
My work focuses on providing healthy solutions for energy, weight loss, and aging gracefully. I help people learn to navigate the complexities of diet and nutrition in order to feel better and increase their energy to enjoy life to the full.

My clients are often dealing with issues such as weight gain, poor digestion, and low energy. They appreciate the support I provide to gain clarity on what foods are best for 
their health and lifestyle. With the support of a guide-at-the-side, they develop stronger intuition and ability to align their actions with their intentions. The personal attention is what helps my clients reach success!

I also teach Yoga, Meditation & Ayurveda -- The sister sciences of Self-Realization. These Eastern practices bring calmness and clarity to life in the 21st century.

My Credentials
I earned my graduate degree in nursing (MS) at Regis University, Denver, CO. I studied Health Care Leadership with an emphasis on Health Care Education. I have practiced as a registered nurse for over 27 years, taking care of patients and educating nursing students. I have seen first hand the damaging effects of diet and lifestyle on very sick people. I have now shifted my attention from management of illness toward prevention of disease. Longevity does not have to mean chronic disease and debilitation. There is a better way!

I am a Certified Health Coach. My studies at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, the world's largest nutrition school, involved the exploration of over 100 different dietary theories and the concept of bio-individuality. This knowledge has helped me to guide others in the diet and lifestyle choice that work best for them in order to achieve health and well-being. I am also a Yoga, Meditation and Ayurveda instructor which has helped me increase flexibility, balance, stamina, stress tolerance, and self-awareness. I believe that nutrition and lifestyle are the key to health promotion and disease prevention. Our natural state of health and wholeness is uncovered when body, mind, and spirit are assessed and treated as interrelated systems.

My Health Coaching Programs
There is no 'one-size-fits-all' approach to achieving health and happiness. I use research and evidence to design a personalized experience for each client.  During each session, we explore what works best for your individual lifestyle, needs, and preferences. Choose a quick start 12 Day Cleanse to get started, a 28-Day Weight Loss plan,  Healthy Habits Physician-backed 3-Month Weight Loss, or commit to a 3, 6, or 12 month program to elevate your well-being and discover your inner healthy self! Coaching sessions are twice per month and last for 50 minutes during which I actively listen and provide coaching support.
