Mission & Vision

I am a nurse, educator, health coach, yoga instructor and founder of Your Elements of Balance & Pure Healthy Solutions. I am passionate about teaching and mentoring and am here as your guide at the side to help you discover that "food" changes everything!  Whatever we take in from our environment (including food, sense perceptions, relationships, internal stories, so much more than meals!)

I believe that your journey to health and wellness begins with how you feed yourself, how you nurture yourself. You may have experimented with a variety of foods, non-foods, powders, pills, shakes, and diets but haven't found the right fit. As your health coach, I am your personal advocate for living an energized and vibrant life. I help women like you discover healthy ways to meet their nutritional needs and that fits their lifestyle. It is possible to have energy, feel great, release toxins and excess weight - while enjoying meals that are delicious, nourishing and nutritious!

Once you're feeling better and have more energy, you'll be ready to take your goals and aspirations to the next level. You are a thinking, feeling, doing, human being! There is so much more to life than feeling stressed out, overwhelmed, and just plain tired (aka "fatigue")!

My mission is to provide a safe environment for people to learn, be challenged and become independent thinkers when it comes to nutrition and lifestyle. Our modern lives have many unhealthy influences and most people need a strategy, support (accountability), and guidance in order to establish healthy patterns leading to vitality. There are many programs available but few provide personalized service. You can choose to "DIY" - do-it-yourself" and potentially take longer to reach your goal. Or you can choose to value yourself and your time and get started with a solution right now.

My vision is to help as many people as possible to have the information they need to live life to fullest with health and vitality! I am here waiting for you to begin.

What is a Health Coach?
A health coach is a mentor and a teacher who helps people uncover the hidden ways diet and lifestyle contributes to well-being. Coaches meet with clients in-person, online, or over the phone. Coaching sessions use active listening and individualized attention to help you ditch the uncertainty and contradictions about what to eat and discover exactly what your body needs to elevate your energy and discover vitality! 

What I do
My work focuses on providing healthy solutions for energy, de-stressing, gaining control of your time so you have more time and energy to do the things that you love.

I help people learn to navigate the complexities of lifestyle and personalized nutrition in order to 
feel better and increase their energy to enjoy life to the full.

My clients are often dealing with issues such as fatigue, poor digestion, and low energy. They appreciate the support I provide to gain clarity on what foods are best for 
their health and lifestyle. "One person's food is another's poison" is something that I learned in nutrition school. Food is not a one size fits all science. there is so much more to finding what works for you.

DIY or a trial and error strategy is definitely one way to move forward on your goals. BUT, with the support of a guide-at-the-side, you will develop the ability to align your actions with your intentions. The personal attention is what helps you reach success!

My Credentials
I have practiced as a registered nurse for nearly 30 years, taking care of patients and educating nursing students. I have seen first hand the damaging effects of diet and lifestyle on very sick people. I have now shifted my attention from management of illness toward prevention of disease. Living a longer life does not have to mean living with the ill-effects of stress, fatigue, exhaustion which inevitably lead to illness. There is a better way!

I am a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. My studies at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, the world's largest nutrition school, involved the exploration of over 100 different dietary theories and the concept of bio-individuality. This knowledge has helped me to guide others in the diet and lifestyle choice that work best for them in order to achieve health and well-being.

​I am also a Yoga, Meditation and Ayurveda instructor which has helped me increase flexibility, balance, stamina, stress tolerance, and self-awareness. I believe that nutrition and lifestyle are the key to health promotion and disease prevention. Our natural state of health and wholeness is uncovered when body, mind, and spirit are assessed and treated as interrelated systems.

My Health Coaching Programs
There is no 'one-size-fits-all' approach to achieving health and happiness. I use research and evidence to design a personalized experience for each client.  During your program, we explore what works best for your individual lifestyle, needs, and preferences.

We'll start with a Clarity Call to create SMARTER goals to get you from where you are to where you want to be. We clarify that although we may desire to reach our goal overnight, it's a process that can take a little time. HOWEVER, if you never start the wellness journey, you'll never get to where you want to be. Take it from me (or not) procrastinating never gets us to where we want to be. Also, we need to have crystal clarity of what we really, really want! Whether you accept the offer of a Clarity Call or not, you need to be clear where you want to go before you set out.

During the call, you'll craft realistic goals that are designed in such a way that you will be able to measure your progress and achieve success. (Check back for my goal setting process video). This is Step 2.

Next, I'll share what I call "just-in-time coaching" that is specific to your goals. This small sample is intended to give you positive reinforcement to feel better right away! 

Finally, we'll discuss your next steps in your personal journey to wellness.
